Belonged

As the place
slowly moved
into the brightness
Of the night,
The sun gave way
for stars to alight
the full moon shone
brilliant and bright

Chilly weather
warm arms
the night’s
cute silent charms
So what if
it was dark
No more frisking
or finding her mark

Out in the open
out in the wild
She felt belonged
To the opacus sky
She talked and walked
and saw above
Smiled and giggled
And laughed with love

The clouds, the waters
the hidden moon
the winds danced
as solemn boon
Were they there
as her kith and kin
or was she there
Just in her skin

She unwrapped
and uncoiled
among them all
disrobed and bare
disowning the brawl
Of cities and metros
of crowded ghettos
of people so cheap
and thoughts
that didn’t run deep

The night scared
and the chill bared
her fears and sorrows
of pasts and tomorrows
but that she liked
coz truth psyched
her minds ugly din
and her mess within
That darkness
hit her
And the fear
gripped her

And yet it is here
she belonged
To ‘this’ world
That never wronged!
